Andy Hunter’s music and sound were forged in and inspired by New York’s vital Jazz, Salsa and World Music scenes. He has toured and performed around the world with his own projects and other bands such as the Mingus Big Band, Richard Bona, Nnenna Freelon, T.S. Monk, Dave Holland’s Big Band, the Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabackin Big Band and the Spanish Harlem Orchestra, and now Germany's WDR Big Band.
